michelin Star Restaurant
The restaurant Zaranda is located at the Castell Son Claret rural hotel in Es Capdellà. “To be universal, you have to be local.” This phrase said by Joan Miró is a declaration of intent for chef Fernando Pérez Arellano of Zaranda. The restaurant is the only two stars on the island. The mediterranean cuisine is committed to local produce and pays special attention to the traditional cookbook of the Baleares islands and its most representative products.
After 5 years in Madrid the restaurant moved to Mallorca, where it has quickly returned to obtain the precious award from the French guide. 10 years after opening its doors, it has established itself on the island receiving its second Michelin star in the 2016. It has a team of fourteen professionals with Fernando Pérez Arellano at the helm. The team, young and enthusiastic, coming from different parts of the national and international geography, is an important part of the Zaranda spirit.
